As Christmas nears I have been searching for ways to make this year more like the way Christmas should be. It wasn't supposed to be about getting gifts. Of course, there are things that Brandon and I need and want but above that there is such a greater need around the world and in our community. God gave his greatest gift the birth of His son on Christmas Day. I don't think Jesus would be sitting around a Christmas Tree surrounded by gifts all for his birthday. Instead, I think he would be giving gifts that make a difference and asking others to do the same. That is why this year all I want for Christmas is for people to check out http://www.changingthepresent.org/ and donate to something they feel is important. I know that this year the budget is really tight for all of us but they have gifts that range from just $5 to over $1,000 that can help someone across world. You could even buy gifts in honor of people that you would normally have bought something for.
PS- Yes, there is a lot more to catch you up on but I feel that this was more important than most of the other post that I need to write.
Living it up in Syracuse, New York. We have been called here to be a part of God's greater plan of reaching every man, woman and child. In the mean time this is the story of the random things that happen along this journey.
